Modern Warfare 3

They really need to fix this, the game wont match me alone or with my
friends with anyone outside of norway. In COD4, WAW, MW2 and Black Ops
we woud get matched with people from all over europe all the time and we
had no problems with that. Now where forced to wait forever or invite
other random norwegiens just to get a game started, it dosent end well
most of the time, ppl get sick of losing/shoot and dosent stay for
long,. And when its late its impossble to to find ppl to play with.
Its ridiculous to see milions of players online, and all those green dots in europe and not beeing matched with any of them...
They
got to do something about this... Im gonna go and finish some other
games in the mean time until they patch this, i dont have enough time
outside work to sit and wait and waste time waiting to get a game...

im talking about Local ONLY matchmaking...in my country are only a few
people that play mw3 .. so i have to play ONLY tdm because in my country
there are only players that play tdm and if i enter any other gametype
it says no games found and i can be there forever and no one join...
and it really needs to be fixed with an option that allows you to enter
not just STRICT LOCAL ONLY game...... and my NAT is open !! just add an
option where you can disable this anoying LOCAL ONLY MATCHMAKING

Sorry to you and the OP but that is the last thing they should do. The
rest of us are having fun because we're not connecting to you. No
offence but keep your lag in your country.

Czech Republic here. If this
doesn't get fixed, It's last Call of Duty I ever bought. Are you making
fun of us? How can you make a forced local only matchmaking? Why does it
show me there is XYZ thousands of people playing and doesn't show me
how many people are playing in my locale?
And people talking
about lag from other countries... Are you even serious, guys? In 2011?
Above all, this should be totally optional and if you're so concerned
about your latency, you can select "Local Only" (well, in pretty much
every other game anyways).

Im having same problem, im from malta and its crazy that we have to wait
so long for a game. Add me RMY Juggernaut and maybe we find a game
quicker

So they wont let you play with other countries in Europe? That is
kinda strange, but I dont want BO style play with anyone you want
(basically). The matchmaking is that way for a reason.

Sorry that you have to wait forever to play multiplayer, but keep your lag out of my games.

I life in holland and I have the same problem, I've to wait for big time to find some players, and it are only locals, annoying.

The lag conpensation makes it 100% worse besides Black Ops was
unplayable for me because I kept getting matched against foreigners, so
really I see this "strict local only" as a great addition to the game.

give us options to set our own matchmaking like in previous COD games,

Também me acontece isso. Estrangeiros ou portugueses tenho uma crap connection.

O problema do machmaking ainda não está resolvido.

Patch 1.03 When you fire up Modern Warfare 3, you’ll be notified that you need to update the title with a small patch, 4 MB. Robert Bowling, known as Four Zero Two, explains that the PS3 patch helped resolve “any ‘Out of Memory 14′ errors you may have seen”. Meanwhile, the 360 patch “includes improvements to matchmaking and fix for video uploads on SD [Standard Definition] TVs. Please note, if you’re unable to join up with your friends, then it’s “most likely” caused by the patch. Wait until everyone is on the same version in order to “matchmake” together.

In Future Patches or Hot Fixes Robert noted that “wall breaching the tanker on Outpost” will be resolved via a hot fix. Cross country matchmaking has also been a notable problem that Robert is aware of. He explained “this may be an issue in smaller countries and are currently evaluating how to best address this for them.”

Por acaso a Epic nada fez para resolver. Após muita e muita pressão ao longo de 2 meses através do twitter o Rod Fergusson lá deixou uma mensagem a dizer "Se vivem num Pais com poucos jogadores de gears mudem a região da consola para outro Pais por exemplo Uk no caso da Europa. O problema é que neste caso nao funciona. Sendo o povo americano o consumidor "alvo" estou com receio que nada se faça.

Alias nos forums do MW3 são muito frequentes muitos comentários que demonstram a inteligência americana como "who gives a f...!! Tired of bullsh... europeans bidé users!" enfim!


Thanks for posting this Jewro. While we do not have a region locked matchmaking system, we do have a weighted system that will prioritize your local games over the rest of the world (in order to give you better hosts and connections when you do connect) however this can sometimes hinder and impact players in small countries with fewer local games. We are looking at the best way to address this for those cases.

1 coisa que eu estou achar estranho e pff não estou a queixar-me mas tenho a minha consola na Regiao UK e a linguagem também. Um problema que surgiu durante o gears 2 pois fizeram o mesmo estilo de machmaking onde so fazia o search a nível nacional. Resultado não encontrava jogadores suficientes e ficava a volta de 15m para encontrar um jogo.

Ontem quando decidi experimentar o Mp fiquei de boca aberta quando so encontrava Portugueses. Não existiu problema nenhum enquanto jogava o kill confirm. Mas quando decidi ir para o domination = 0 nao encontrei nem um jogador! Não existe ainda uma forma de poder fazer uma search mais extenso? Não tinha problema nenhum durante o Mw2 a jogar com Ingleses. Alias muitas vezes era host e tudo...

Pelos vistos pela Europa fora! países como a suecia dinamarca islandia etc... Estou parvo é como tenho a consola na região UK o matchmaking mesmo assim ignora isso! tem havido muitas threads no forum do MW3 e parece que a activision, infinity etc não estao a ligar nenhuma a esse problema.

Robert Bowling sheds some light on what’s being fixed and re-balanced in Modern Warfare 3 this week.

Infinity Ward’s creative strategist, Robert Bowling, reveals that
there is an “update” in the works for Modern Warfare 3. Robert assures that
the akimbo FMGs “will be getting some re-balancing in a new update this
week.” It’s worth noting that at the moment the dual FMGs are indeed
overpowered when compared to any other secondaries.
Blowing also touched on the rank loss problem explaining “if you ever
get knocked back to menus with an error, it stops writing stats, you
should restart your console for fresh connection.” He went on to promise
“this [rank loss issue] will be addressed in the next update to prevent
it from ever happening so you don’t have to worry about it.”

On a different note, some players are claiming that they are getting
banned for no apparent reason. Bowling explained that when players are
reported, there’s a team dedicated to verify these reports and “no one
is banned blindly simply by being reported.”
