EA and DICE revealed today what's to be found with the treasure trove of weaponry in Battlefield: Bad Company 2's Limited Edition retail release. The BFBC2 "while supplies last" edition will contain six special game unlocks -- only four of which are for Bad Company 2 -- and cost the same as the regular retail version.
The four BFBC2 unlocks are:
Improved Vehicle Armor - Pretty self explanatory.
Supreme Vehicle Firepower - Additional weapon mounts for the driver.
Vehicle Motion Sensor - Locate enemy units in proximity to vehicle.
Tracer Dart Pistol - Attaches to any vehicle "to track, lock on, and fire rockets onto moving targets even beyond line of sight"
The other two unlocks are for Battlefield 1943 and give soldiers the M1A1 Submachine Gun and the M1911 Pistol, which are both ... you know, guns that go pew-pew. BFBC2 launches March 2 and 5 in North America and Europe, respectively. Meanwhile, poor Battlefield 1943 has been waiting for new maps since July 20, 2009.

DICE indicated last week that Battlefield: Bad Company 2 could get a beta. Today Gamestop outed the beta and even provided a launch date.
For the next 24 hours, GameStop is offering "free overnight shipping, plus access to the Battlefield Bad Company 2 Beta beginning November 19th, 11PM PST" for PS3 pre-orders of the Limited Edition of Battlefield: Bad Company 2. The deal is said to expire on November 3rd at 11 am CST.
There's been no official announcement of a beta by DICE yet. There's no mention of the Xbox 360 or PC versions getting a beta. You'd expect at least the Xbox 360 to get the beta though, wouldn't you? More details should be a-comin' soon enough.

Assunto: Battlefield: Bad Company 2 multiplayer beta hits Nov. 19, exclusive to PS3 Qui Nov 05, 2009 11:22 am
PS3 owners will soon have another exclusive to brag about in addition to Uncharted 2. EA and DICE announced today that the multiplayer beta for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will launch on Thursday, November 19, exclusively on Sony's console. As with the recent God of War III demo, a beta code will be offered as a pre-order incentive from GameStop, Amazon and Best Buy (visit the game's official site to check which other retailers are participating).
The beta will focus on one of Bad Company 2's new multiplayer game types: Rush. This multi-stage battle takes place on a map called Arica Harbor, which is broken into unique areas for each round. American forces push forward on foot and in vehicles to scrap with Russian troops outside a military base, in an urban environment and eventually at the harbor itself in a "last stand" scenario.
EA plans to begin a PC round of the beta in December, followed up by an all-new multiplayer demo for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC early next year. The finished game hits shelves on March 2, 2010. We recently had the opportunity to play in the multiplayer beta and will bring you our hands-on impressions tomorrow morning, November 6 at 9:00 a.m. PT / noon ET.

- deslizam, deslizam, deslizam...
o melhor do jogo é o audio...

Citação :
The original Bad Company spinoff in the Battlefield series kept the franchise's setting firmly in modern times, but if the Bad Company 2 ESRB description is true, you'll be seeing a return to WWII in the sequel. At the very least, the game's opening will bring players back to the Eastern front, with the ESRB description saying, "In single-player mode, players conduct missions on an unnamed Japanese island during World War II and then move into the modern day through jungles, deserts, and snowy terrain."
As we've discovered in our way too many hours with the game's multiplayer demo, the description details the inclusion of "melee attacks with a power drill" (yes, seriously) and the characters use of profanity "during cutscenes and in the heat of battle." And yes, we're just as excited by the former as you might imagine.
até parecer se uma boa ideia

BFBC2 demo has been downloaded over 3 million times
Citação :
EA has said that over 3.5 million people have tried out the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 demo so far on Xbox 360 and PS3.
This bit of news was just tweeted by the company.
The demo ends on February 25, because the game is out on March 2 in the US and March 5 in the UK.
New screens for the game popped up on IGN for it today too. Go have a look.
Remember, no one does online better than DICE.

Unlock The M1 Garand For Bad Company 2 Multiplayer
Citação :
Ahh, the M1 Garand: the staple World War II rifle. Its poor rate of fire and clip size is made up for by being very accurate and dealing a lot of damage. But what place does it have in Bad Company 2?
Earlier this month, we were the first to bring you the news that the games single player campaign features a neat ‘prologue’, where you get to wreak some fully-destructible havoc on the Japanese in the Second World War.
Thankfully, DICE have been kind enough to include some vintage guns in the multiplayer. While most of these are unlocked by progressing through the ranks, if you boot up the public beta, go to ‘Weapons And Gadgets’ and scroll all the way down to the bottom right, you’ll see that the M1 Garand is only available to ‘Battlefield Veterans’. It adds that you can become a Veteran by visiting http://veteran.battlefield.com/.
Seeing as the weapon cannot be unlocked in the Beta, we’re not sure how the whole thing will work, but we’re guessing once you register on the Veteran site and the full game comes out, you can input your account and link your PSN or Live tag to get your grubby hands on this brutal killing machine.

Six reasons why Bad Company 2 wipes the floor with Modern Warfare 2
MaxConsole Presents: Six reasons why Bad Company 2 wipes the floor with Modern Warfare 2 online
Typically it is fine to compare ‘like for like’ and regardless of subtle differences, Bad Company 2 and Modern Warfare 2 are essentially first person shooter titles. Comparisons are inevitable and we feel they are justified, especially considering how we have personally abandoned Modern Warfare 2 in favor of the online multiplayer demo of Bad Company 2. Yes that’s right, just one single demo level has kept us hooked while Modern Warfare 2 is sat gathering dust and here’s why:
•Shooting: Modern Warfare 2 is dare we say it, boring online. There is no tension or gripping moments, it is a simple case of getting out the ACR and pushing the trigger while constantly looking over your shoulder. The pattern repeats itself over and over. With Bad Company 2 you can be far more tactical with your shooting, it feels like you have achieved something if you have actually shot someone and there are some great moments of tension which can be created. There is a far better feeling created when you sneak into the oppositions base and shoot off the unsuspecting enemy or have a gripping battle at one of the bases.
•Variety: Within Bad Company 2, you can choose whether to re-spawn as a variety of classes including an engineer and medic. Each option brings with it its own sense of challenges and respective achievements. Instead of going all out on an assault with your rifle, you could actually instead to opt to focus on reviving your team-mates which is actually a lot more fun than it sounds as team-working is crucial.
•Vehicles: Yes! Vehicles. It is really refreshing to be able to hop into a bike, tank, helicopter and all the rest of the available vehicles in order to defend or capture bases. It all ads to a varied experience. By contrast, Modern Warfare 2 has some lethargic system where if you reach a certain amount of kills, a chopper comes and does all the work for you. Where is the fun or achievement in that? (Yawn).
•Solid Purpose and scope to play as you want: The main purpose of Bad Company 2 is simple, attack/defend the bases and then continue to move on up. While MW 2 has more modes, we feel Bad Company 2 has got this element spot on. There is nothing you can’t do which isn’t rewarded. If you shoot people you get rewarded, if you revive a team mate you get rewarded, if you spot someone who then gets killed by a team-made you are rewarded. There is plenty of room for you to play the game as you wish but the overall purpose is to contribute to a winning team and you can do it in a number of ways.
• Team-Work: A good game in Bad Company 2 will ultimately rely on good old fashioned team work. Things can get VERY tactical if you work well within your team. For example, is it best to have eight men defend the vicinity of the two bases and four others ‘sweeping up’? Or is it best to have a multitude of snipers looking far into the distance to stop any advances from the attackers? Ultimately good team work will have the final say which is what playing online with others should all be about.
• Destructive environments limits places to hide: There really is nowhere to hide! Sometimes you feel you are ‘safe’ in guarding the base behind a wall, but then suddenly you feel the brunt of a missile bringing down the wall and fully exposing you to the opportunities. Environments in Bad Company 2 are fully destructive with the correct weapons and it all adds to more dynamic and enthralling gameplay as it reduces the ability to ‘hide’ as is commonly the case in Modern Warfare 2.
On a final note, nothing must be taken away from Modern Warfare 2. It has a finely put together game and all around package. But for us the feeling of true gripping combat just isn’t there and Bad Company 2 manages to deliver this to a far greater effect.
