A demo for Batman: Arkham Asylum is set to hit the PlayStation Network this Friday, giving fans of the Caped Crusader a chance to try out the game before its release later this month. The demo will be available for the PlayStation 3, the Xbox 360, and the PC, Eidos announced today.
The demo will let you play through the intro of the game, putting you in the shoes of Batman as you and Commissioner Gordon escort The Joker back into Arkham Asylum. Of course you are returning The Joker, and he won’t make your task easy. The Joker gains the upper hand and springs a trap, setting the occupants of Arkham Asylum upon Batman. Players can unlock character bios, and get a sneak peak at some of the infamous foes that Batman will encounter within the asylum.
The demo will show off the game’s ‘FreeFlow’ combat system, allowing you to seamlessly land combos with great ease. When the game comes out on August 25 in North America and August 28 in Europe, players will get a chance to fight against villains like Harley Quinn, Bane, Poison Ivy, Killer Croc, and Scarecrow.
