It should be noted that these are some, and not all of the proposed changes we'll be making to the online experience in the weeks and months ahead. The items listed above are those of the inbound soon™ variety. We'll make some more noise about a potential second October update as soon as the details are set in stone. Suffice to say, we'll be adding some new "stuff" to keep it fresh and we've already begun to dig into some sweet user created content in search of future matchmaking hopefuls. More on that in updates to come. Stay Tuned.
Time for some housekeeping.

MLG Release 1.1 Gametypes
After releasing the 1.0 ruleset only a week or so ago, Major League Gaming, the unofficial governing body of competitive Halo have announced a slightly tweeked version titled version 1.1 ready for MLG DC in 2 weeks.
The biggest change out of the small changes is the revamp of Asylum and now renamed as it was in Halo 2; Sanctuary. It has been completely remade to be symmetrical and remove any frame rate slow down people were experiencing previously. The map also see's a complete make-over with the entire map being made from Forge equipment, meaning no more grass on the surface which gives it a more proffesional arena look.
The other changes can be seen below;
Citação :
Version 1.1 Changes from Version 1
Asylum has been recreated in order to produce perfect symmetry and to reduce frame rate issues. The name of this new map is Sanctuary.
Needle Rifle that was set to respawn after 30 seconds on Zealot’s Red Side has been fixed to respawn after 60 seconds.
Soft and Hard Kill Zones have been added to the maps.
All Game Types have Elite Loadouts set to hidden to prevent Elites spawning with Loadouts.
List of Hard Kill Zones
Sanctuary Top ridge around the map Above the Bases Above the Sniper Spawn
Countdown 4th Floor above the Bases Back ledge behind Rocket Spawn Fans above the Balcony Lights outside above the Balcony
Reflection Vents located around the map on Reflection Bamboo Trees above the Ramp Side Air Lift Chinese Symbols above the map Small ledge above the Ramp Side Air Lift The ledges above Sniper Spawn Pillars above center
MLG Zealot FFA This Game Type will be used for the DC Free-For-All Event. The map has the lifts blocked off with DMRs and Grenades on the map. All players spawn with a DMR and 2 Frag Grenades. Spawns have been reworked to improve gameplay.
The next question on everyone's lips is when will we see these rules implemented into a play list?

Shortly after Halo: Reach was released, users found a way to earn cheap, easy in-game credits via an exploit. Some people, though, had to take it too far. Now, the exploit itself, if you've got the patience for it, that's fine. But 15,000 players have been found to have gone overboard on the exploit via "network manipulation and other easily detectable workarounds that fall well outside of standard gameplay", and every single one of them has tonight had their credit levels reset to a big fat zero, along with receiving a one-day ban on amassing any more. What's impressive/sad about that number is that it's only from a preliminary pass; Bungie says that "as our automated Banhammer mechanisms grow accurate enough to satisfy our high bar for burden of proof", we can expect that tally to rise.
