| BO = MEGA FAIL so far ...
sorry o testamento

| Black Ops' First Downloadable Content Is Oscar Mike The first downloadable content for Call of Duty: Black Ops has been revealed. It'll go on sale on the Xbox 360 on February 1, and cost $15. The DLC comes in the form of a multiplayer map pack, containing four "regular" levels and one for the game's zombie mode. Two of the regular maps are based on locations from the singleplayer campaign — Hong Kong and the Arctic Circle - while the other two take in Cold War locations we're surprised the game didn't visit first time around: the Berlin Wall and an ice hockey stadium. As we all know, Microsoft struck a deal with publishers Activision for Black Ops' downloadable content to appear on the Xbox 360 first. So 360 owners, you'll get the pack on February 1, everyone else...well, there are plenty of things you can spend $15 on in the meantime that have a little more substance to them. | |

| Is Treyarch Selling Cancelled Maps? (‘First Strike’ Black Ops DLC)

Earlier we announced Treyarch’s new ‘First Strike’ DLC Map Pack for Call Of Duty: Black Ops. Then, these Screenshots popped up on more than a few sites. Are they real? Check em out: Discovery Stadium Berlin Wall Check out these links: http://callofduty.wikia.com… http://callofduty.wikia.com… http://callofduty.wikia.com… Yes, these are maps that have been cancelled…yet they bear some of the names of some the maps announced. Something fishy going on here? Can’t say for sure, you be the judge. Somebody is being duped.

- Major Nelson announced in his latest podcast that DLC for COD: Black Ops is coming up early next year February. It includes 4 multiplayer maps and one zombie map.
* Discovery – Antarctic German research station, abandoned from World War II. * Kowloon – Inspired from the single-player campaign based off of Kowloon city in China. It’s a rooftop map. * Stadium – Hockey rink in northeastern United States. * Berlin Wall – Takes place at Checkpoint Charlie. Is a battle between East and West Berlin. * Ascension – Zombie map.
Now this is great and all but has Treyarch forgotten that maybe 90+ % of their gamers are still suffering from major flaws in the original version of Black Ops. It seems even after the 4th patch, things have barely cleared up for most. For me, the only thing fixed so far was the lagging, but otherwise the game still has a ton of major flaws including weapons hacks, terrible spawning and run and gun action. Aiming down the scopes is useless because the gun just flies all over the place, even with Steady Aim.
Even though Modern Warfare 2 has been plagued with its problems, the overall dynamics of the game were much more consistent. Now in Black Ops, I just feel like I’m in Grand Theft Auto doing run and gun shooting, and hoping for the best.
Why would we want to buy a map pack for $15.00 (1200 MS points)?! Yet come February 1st, tons of COD fans are still going to purchase it, even with they bitch and complain about the issues? Shouldn’t we show a bit of resistance and tell Activision/Treyarch that BO needs to be fixed first? It’s light building a higher and higher multi-story building without fixing a faulty foundation.
Crying and complaining with words and guns doesn’t seem to be the key with Activision, so why not put a halt of what they will listen to….money. If fans actually stuck together and refused to purchase rubbish, maybe they might listen to us for once. Sure they won’t be out of a job or suffer much, but the COD line would make much less than expected.
I used to be one of those guys who pre-ordered COD every time it was announced, but I will not buy this map pack or any future copies of COD until they get their act in order. In the mean time, I’ll be enjoying Modern Warfare and Crysis.

| Black Ops Hits $1 Billion in SalesActivision continues to see record sales. Call of Duty: Black Ops continues to set industry sales records. Activision's latest title has now surpassed $1 billion in sales worldwide since launch, according to internal company estimates. Through the first five days on sale, Black Ops generated $650 million in sales, exceeding last year's $550 million set by Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. "In all of entertainment, only Call of Duty and 'Avatar' have ever achieved the billion dollar revenue milestone this quickly," said Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision Blizzard. "This is a tribute to the global appeal of the Call of Duty franchise, the exceptional talent at Treyarch and the hundreds of extraordinary people across our many Call of Duty studios including Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer that work tirelessly on the franchise," he added. "Our ability to provide the most compelling, immersive entertainment experience, and enhance it with regular, recurring content that delivers hundreds of hours of audience value, has allowed Call of Duty to continue to set sales and usage records."To date, more than 600 million hours of Black Ops have been logged playing the game since launch. According to Microsoft, the average player logs into the game more than once a day and plays for over one hour. Over half of that time is spent playing multiplayer. In the first 24-hours, Black Ops sold 5.6 million copies in North America and United Kingdom. | |

- Dear Sir/Madam,
Gamers' Voice is a consumer advice and lobbyist group that represents the video game consumer in the UK. As part of our remit we are tasked to ensure that the purchasers of video games are given a fair hearing when they have a particular issue with a game they have bought. It is for this reason we are contacting you now as we have been inundated with complaints from people who have bought copies of Call of Duty: Black Ops. They all concern the Playstation 3 console and PC versions of the game.
The complaints range from freezing when a new map is being loaded, locking up of PS3's and PC's while running the game, inability to log into multiplayer matches and connection drops mid game. None of this apparently applies to the Xbox 360 version, which is clearly the lead platform for the title.
It is quite obvious that you have focussed a majority of your QA on the Xbox 360 version with the assumption that the majority of people who play the game will do so on that system. Despite this, you have chosen to release it on multiple formats to maximise the revenue from sales of the game. By doing so evidence suggests that little attention was paid to the platforms with a smaller install base and hence a reduction in QA being employed for these versions.
It is now that your valuable customer base is bearing the brunt of this short sighted act of crass profiteering on your part, for that is exactly what this is. You have pushed out a game that is broken to the point of it not fulfilling its function as a piece of entertainment. Reading from the back of the game's box, we quote:
"Epic single-player, acclaimed multiplayer and 4 player co-op Zombies"
What this tag line fails to have is the caveat that this only applies if you are playing the Xbox 360 version. None of this will be experienced by the purchaser of the PS3 and PC ports for they do not actually function as intended.
We therefore request that you offer by way of explanation to us why this has occurred and, more importantly, what are you going to do to recompense your customer base? You have one calendar month to respond to this letter. If no response is received or your retort fails to treat this issue with the gravity it deserves, we will be forced to take matters further.
