Quote:

While
the game will ship with a dozen or so pre-created race modes,
everything about them, from the number of laps to start delays and what
sort of assists a player can be using, can be changed.

"We have a whole bunch of options that just cascade," Krauskopf said.
"There are pages and pages of options they can set to make the race
exactly how you want it to be."

Krauskopf likens it to the ability first-person shooter fans have to
manipulate the online game rules for Halo 3, but with much more control.

For example, most racing games allow players to choose a track, the car
classes and the number of laps. In Forza 3, a gamer can take that basic
race and choose to change the rules of how a winner is determined.

Krauskopf explains:

  • First they could section everyone into two teams, one team will win.
  • They
could then decide that a specific person from each team must cross the
finish line to determine who wins (we'll call this person the "mouse"),
the rest of the players are just there to provide interference to the
other team, or protection for their own team (we'll call them "cats").
  • Then they could create still deeper challenges by limiting teams to specific car classes, tunings, assists, or upgrades.
  • If they want to make things more interesting they can stagger the roll-off times from the start line giving some a head start.
  • If
the players want to be super specific about their race, they can limit
the mice to D-class, front wheel drive European hatchbacks and the cats
to all wheel drive turbocharged V10s.

"This results in players running in packs on a track, trying to protect
their team's "mouse" and see it safely across the finish line first
while trying keep the other team's mouse away from the finish line,"
Krauskopf said. "A very different type of race!"

The game's online modes have more than 100 rule types to tweak giving
players an almost limitless ability to customize the way they want to
play, he said.

...

Since these personalized race modes can only be saved locally,
Krauskopf expects that some gamers will make a name for themselves as
popular hosts for their custom races. He added that they are
considering one day perhaps allowing gamers to save modes online, but
right now have no plans to include that option.

Forza 3 will still include all of the Live support Forza 2 had as well.
Other new additions to online play include a new party system that
allows gamers to hop into one room and then jump from race to race
together.

– (6/12/09) Circuit de la Sarthe (Home of the 24 Hour Le Mans) is in the game! Click here to see some pretty pictures of it. Here's additional information just in case you want to know how Turn 10 recreated the track.

– (6/1/09) Forza 3 has been announced! The game runs at 60
frames per second, there's a rewind function for newbies, and you can
roll your car. There's a video editor, too.

There's also over 400 cars and over 100 tracks track varients! So many cars and tracks Forza 3 will have a second disc!

upcoming racer would ship on two discs. As rumors last year noted, the
core game will come on the game's first disc while the second will be
reserved for other content -- such as vehicles and maps.
"It is
going to ship on two discs," Wendl said. "Disc one is the full
experience, even disc one is bigger than any other racing game out
there. Disc two includes a lot of extra cars, even a handful of tracks."

When asked if the second disc would act as a data transfer,
downloading the additional content to the hard drive for use with the
first disc, Wendl told us that was "exactly right."
While Turn 10
assures all gamers will be able to enjoy the full Forza 3 experience,
we now have confirmation that not all gamers will be able to enjoy all
400 vehicles promised at the Microsoft press briefing.

Where Dreams Are Driven
Launching this October exclusively for Xbox 360, "Forza Motorsport 3"
unites the racing game genre making it possible for everyone to
experience the thrill of the world's most exotic and exquisite cars.
Live the most realistic racing experience ever as you take the wheel of
more than 400 of the most-beloved cars on over 100 renowned real-world
tracks and exotic road courses from around the globe. With breathtaking
HD graphics and the most advanced vehicle performance modeling in a
video game, "Forza Motorsport 3" includes a host of driving assists and
adjustable skill levels to make the game a gripping pick-up-and-play
experience for audiences of all ages and skill levels.

Your escape into the world of car culture in "Forza Motorsport 3"
doesn't stop at the track. Turn 10 is a proven leader in user-generated
content creation in games. "Forza Motorsport 3" further fuels the
imaginations of its evergreen community of painters, tuners and
photographers with improved customization tools and brand new ways to
share creations with the world via Xbox LIVE*. Xbox LIVE makes your
journey into the "Forza Motorsport" community and the world of
user-generated content easy and fun.

A love of cars lives in all of us. "Forza Motorsport 3" is the automotive playground we've all been waiting for.

World-Class Cars and Tracks
Featuring the latest and greatest production offerings as well as the
world's fastest and most exotic street cars, "Forza Motorsport 3"
offers more than 400 fully customizable and tunable cars from over 50
of the world's leading manufacturers. Whether your passion is classic
American muscle cars, European roadsters, purpose-built race cars or
high-tech Asian imports, "Forza Motorsport 3" puts you in the cockpit
of the cars you love. In addition to the return of world-famous tracks
from previous "Forza Motorsport" games, including Suzuka, Nürburgring
Nordschleife and the Sebring International Raceway, "Forza Motorsport
3" invites you to conquer the corners on more than 100 tracks,
including some of the most beautiful road courses in the world. New
environments like the gorgeous mountainous Montserrat region in Spain,
the rugged Amalfi Coast in Italy and the American Southwest are
presented in such majestic detail that you might find yourself pulling
over just to take it all in.

Redefining the Modern Racing Game
"Forza Motorsport's" appreciation of the automobile is due in large
part to the team's attention to detail. This is why automotive
engineers from manufacturers like Audi and champion race teams like
Peugeot as well as experienced computer graphics specialists from
across Microsoft have all teamed up with Turn 10 to make "Forza
Motorsport 3" the most beautiful and realistic racing game ever made.
All 400-plus cars in the game have been built with more than 10 times
the amount of polygons as "Forza Motorsport 2." This includes
painstakingly researched cockpits and interiors for every vehicle. But
realism isn't just about pretty graphics. Turn 10 takes realism to new
heights, leading the industry with the most advanced physics model,
artificial intelligence and damage calculations.

Forza is for Everyone
It's easy to go for a spin: "Forza Motorsport 3" redefines the racing
genre by blurring the definition of simulation and arcade. Simulation
games can be too hard for some players. "Forza Motorsport 3" rises
above the distinction between simulation and arcade games by using a
myriad of cutting-edge driving and gameplay assists such as
auto-braking, gameplay rewind and auto-tuning. "Forza Motorsport 3"
delivers an experience where everyone can have fun behind the wheel,
regardless of your skill and dexterity. Whether you're a newcomer or a
seasoned racing game pro, "Forza Motorsport 3" caters to how you drive
and the game evolves with you over time as your skills develop.

Express Your Car Passion
Painters and tuners will once again be able to showcase creativity
through the celebrated Livery Editor, Auction House and deep tuning
garage in "Forza Motorsport 3." The car is literally the artistic
canvas as some of the world's most creative car painters and designers
find new layers of depth and freedom to create shocking visual
masterpieces before sharing them with others over Xbox LIVE*. Each car
in "Forza Motorsport 3" is fully upgradable, allowing gear heads to
take on the challenge of turning a Honda Civic into a supercar killer.
New Xbox LIVE scoreboards celebrate not only the greatest racers but
also the most prolific car tuners and painters in the community.

Play Your Way with All-New Game Modes
"Forza Motorsport 3" is an epic racing game featuring more content and
more ways to play than any racing title today. An innovative
single-player season mode puts you through a completely personalized
racing calendar that includes more than 200 different events, including
Circuit, Oval, Drag, Drift and Timed Events. No two calendars are the
same; they react to the cars you love and the races you enjoy most. In
addition, the online multiplayer mode* gains an all-new game rules
editor. This gives players a never-ending variety of ways to play with
friends. Whether you're a speedster, dragster, drifter, painter, tuner
or just a lover of cars, "Forza Motorsport 3" is the definitive racing
game for you.

can probably come out cheaper though. Well anyways, the top and bottom
parts are fully adjustable, nice and stable too. Highly recommended.
All props to this guy.

to simplify any discussion on it, this is the suggested full Montserrat track:
Forza Motorsport 3 Fcirtw
(would have re-hosted, but photobucket's cool, and my account there doesn't have nearly as cool a name)

What I want to know is where all the source info came from...are there
track-maps available yet of the smaller ones? Or were these pulled from
quick menu shots in videos? Either way, cool stuff.

That's awesome and quite a lot of possible layouts there as well. I really can't wait to see Fujimi Kaido and Amalfi Coast.

Peugeot 908 last week
Forza Motorsport 3 2my14q1

I'm not one to go all gaga about the way cars look but this car...

Forza Motorsport 3 Mazda_furai01

... looks amazing.

Looks like a Zonda/Enzo and a Speedboat had sex, not bad but really hardly the best looking ever.

Forza Motorsport 3 Ferrari_enzo_bg + Forza Motorsport 3 Mha99x

Forza Motorsport 3 2000_ferrari_f50_02_sb

Could it be a LOD (level of detail) problem? Kinda odd to see one side
of the lights correct and the other not. Aside from the mid back
section and the different rims

I'm trying to find a model that looks like the Forza one, maybe it's a specific model?

Forza Motorsport 3 Ferrari-f50-rear-big

This person seems to have modeled his nearly exactly like the FM3 model, obviously with less polys but you get an idea.. weird.

Mesh is smaller but the rear angle under the wing and mufflers seem to be about the same size

I noticed the right tail lights when I first looked at the pictures.
They are clearly modeled/textured like that on purpose and not an
error.

On the close up of the F50 back you can clearly see that there are
small black pieces at diagonal angles. The left lights don't have them.

Forza Motorsport 3 Image_forza_motorsport_3-11574-1856_0018

The F40 has similar problems. Also, the lighting in the engine bay is
really bugging me. I don't know if it's just due to the
wrongly-coloured mesh, but there is a problem.

As I posted in the Forza thread on the Penny-Arcade forums:

Quote:

This bothers me:

Forza Motorsport 3 1989_ferrari_f40_competizione_5_1

I totally appreciate the attempt to take internal component modeling to
new heights, but only if it's done right. Where the hell is all that
light coming from inside the engine bay? It completely ruins the
picture. Even if you have to artificially darken, do it dammit!

Compare to the most similar picture I can find on the internets:

Forza Motorsport 3 Forzat

I'm surprised that everyone is getting so picky about the details
when the real problem with this picture is the lighting/shaders.
I'm no technical wizard, but it seems like something's missing.
It just looks bad and very unrealistic.

There is more modeled in there other than the engine, they're just
black and not being illuminated as brightly. The engine is illuminated
more because its got brighter parts.

Although not at the exact same angle, this picture shows the same thing and is the correct car:

I think I know what it is, doesn't have Gran Turismo in the title.
Seriously, there is nothing wrong with the lighting in that picture.

Citação :
Finalmente pus as unhas neste demo e
