| Assunto: Natal could arrive this Christmas Sex Jul 10, 2009 4:16 am | |
| | | TheMART, 09/07/2009 - We've all seen the Natal footage, the E3 presentation and the countless articles and previews about it. Everyone thinks Natal will be released somewhere in 2010.
XBK thinks Natal is up for these Holidays, launching at the end of November, just in time for the Christmas sales. What proof is there for this statement?
1. During the E3 show, it was mentioned that the devkits of Natal have been shipped the same day to the most important developers;
2. Games that are out already can be controlled with Natal by making a simple patch for it. Thus even when no specific made software/games made or it by 3rd party at launch, Microsoft will get the patches out for will help 3rd party by making them. That way a great library of games can work with Natal at its launch;
3. Microsoft gets much attention by the press already, probably a lot 'pushed' by Microsoft themselves. Its more logical to push marketing in the year your product will release (within months) then a year ahead;
4. This Christmas a sh*tload of consoles will be sold again. The (hardcore) gamer market isn't as large as the casual market. Thing is, the casual market needs a simple way of controlling, thats why only the Wii sells to it. By getting Natal out for the Holidays, Microsoft gets consumers to buy their motion controlled console;
5. The 360 has enough power to run straight ports of the Wii, it might just emulate the supercharged Gamecube hardware. The 3rd party Wii devs could get their Wii games ported with ease to the 360 and sell some more this Christmas. They would be happy to do so if Microsoft supports them;
6. Last but not least, we just saw this on Microsofts official XBOX 360 page... Why would you push Natal as the first thing you experience on their website if it wouldn't be up for this year?
